The meaning of "Tender Mercies," by Wing
When I first started this article I wanted to announce some of the cool things going on with my iSignVideo Business. The fact that it’s officially LIVE and that my first client wants to buy exclusive rights to our product seemed to bid for the leading title! While that may be super cool, it’s overshadowed by something much cool-er and brighter than the first. Lately, I wondered if God is listening and if He was involved with what I do? And then suddenly a series of events occur and I am reminded in no uncertain terms that He's been there the whole time.
Thanks to Amanda, (I wanted to give you a hug because of this, but I didn't, maybe next time I'll be brave. grin.) my darn good sister who willingly babysat the kids and fought a lot of stuff to be here in Las Vegas with us, Melissa and I were able to attend Saturday's Adult Session of Stake Conference. What resulted was the serendipitous and certainly celestially organized run-in of my former Mission President, James J. Hamula, now a member of the seventy, on assignment to speak to our Stake. To make reverence of the occasion, it is enough to say that after receiving a talk that seemed articulated to Melissa and I specifically, having privilege to meet with him privately, and having his hands laid upon us in a blessing, I am convinced that God is meticulously involved in my life and does not shun the errant soul.
After shedding many tears of hope, healing and love, I am humbled to maintain the blessings of life, love and family through the atonement of Jesus Christ. For that, I search to share that testimony unabashed and desire to be counted within the fold. The result is I am significantly hopeful for the next several months as I work my way towards being closer to the spirit and finding restoration of my soul and brining more light to my family. When that happens, you'll be invited! Grin.

Thank You For The Comments, by Grace
Hi my dear fans,I heard about your comments. I think that all your comments were great and they really impressed me. After all I am a good cook! And, me and Parker talk about getting on peoples goat. A goat is when someone bugs you enough until they just "get your goat." I love you my dear fans!
As requested, here is the recipe for my rice pudding:
- 1 C rice
- 3 C condensed milk
- 1tsp Vanilla... or if you spill some in the bowl, it's OK.
- Nutmeg... Just sprinkle on as much as you want. Watch my show for a good idea of how much.
- Cinnamon.. Just sprinkle a whole bunch in the bowl.
Put all of those ingredients in a rice cooker and mix it up good and wait for the rice cooker to say it is done. Mine was about 20 minutes to cook. Test it by tasting it and it is a good idea to have somebody else taste it too, like Kate. Her opinion is always honest. It is also a good idea to look cute when you are making a cooking show. Try and make people laugh by jumping up on a stool or something like that.
I might put another cooking show on my blog soon. Since you are my dear fans, I would like you to vote for a meal that you want me to cook and then I will choose the best one. You can vote for hot chocolate, scrambled eggs, cup cakes or just see me eat them all gone! And then you could post me a comment so I can see what you voted for. You'll probably choose cup cakes or you could vote for just hot chocolate and cup cakes together.
Love ya! Watch my rice pudding cooking show if you want to again:
Join the Hinckley Challenge, by Melissa
As most of you know, our beloved prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley passed away at the age of 97. His funeral was Saturday, February 2nd.I got an email from my friend, Heather Haycock, that talked about a great way to honor his teachings by joining the Book of Mormon challenge by reading the Book of Mormon in 97 days. I signed up for the challenge and I'm excited for you to begin the challenge as well. I even posted our families progress on the our blog for a little extra accountablity and motivation. Our families progress chart can be found within the right hand column of this page.
I have a testimony of the Book Of Mormon because it has changed my life. I know that by reading the Book Of Mormon, darkness will be lifted and blessings always follow. So, I extend this challenge to you.
So, click on the links below and start reading already! What are you waiting for?
Here's the information that was emailed to me...
http://www.hinckleychallenge.com/
I was thinking of how I could honor his legacy and I came up with an idea. My friend and I have created a challenge for those willing to accept it: Read the Book of Mormon in 97 days. We are trying to get everyone to start on the same day. Here are the details:
Go to http://www.hinckleychallenge.com/ and create an account (free, of course).
On Feb 4, 2008 (the Monday following the funeral) have an FHE lesson on the Book of Mormon and begin your reading.
Each day you read, record what page number you are on by going to http://www.hinckleychallenge.com/.
We would like this challenge to be heard all around the world! Please forward this message to everyone you know. We would love to see over 1 million pages of the Book of Mormon read by the time this challenge has ended.
Do you want to show your support? Do you want to follow the prophet? Do you want to get rid of all of your excuses for not reading and become a warrior? Then join me in this challenge!!!
We are going to spread this throughout the news media (TV and radio) and we've already contacted Fox news, KSL, CBS, and ABC. But we cannot get the word out to everyone without your help! Please forward this on to EVERYONE in your address book. Time is of the essence!! This will be the one forwarded message that everyone will be happy to get :).

Burps From Kate, by Melissa
Kate doesn't get too many opportunities to sit down and write out a good article ... So I thought I’d cut her a break by giving her a helping hand. That's just what Moms do!All three of the kids have been sick this week and have consequently missed the entire week of school. Wing's training in Rocklin, California with his new job and I'm the sole care taker this week which has not been super easy. Anyway, today I decided it was time to get out of the house and have some low intensity fun. I took the kids to Hallmark and the kids spent their allowance on some new Webkinz and Kate bought a doll with purple hair because "purpa" is her favorite color.
As we were leaving Hallmark, Kate clearly said, "Go Target?" It took me a moment to comprehend what she had just said, but when I clarified with Kate by asking, "You want to go to Target?" she yelled, "Yeah!" in a very enthusiastic hoarse sounding voice. Unfortunately for Kate, we were headed to Sweet Tomatoes for some cold fighting soup, but she was quite understanding and was willing to wait.
Sweet Tomatoes is Parker and Grace's favorite place to eat. Just smelling the yummy soups brought smiles to their pale faces. Kate was the happiest while eating blue Jell-O topped with a good helping of ranch salad dressing. Needless to say, Kate is very skilled at making fear factor type foods.
When we were all full and our colds were satisfied, it was time to saddle up the troops and head towards home. All was well with Kate until I pulled into the driveway. When she realized that we were at home and not at Target she was noticeably upset and made sure that I knew exactly how she felt. Whew... It was hard to calm her down. But, I am proud of Kate's shopping sense. After all, Target is one of my favorite places to shop!
Kate has also been very brave this week. In spite of her ear ache and croupy cough, she has managed to spread love and cheer throughout the house. She has a little dog that is a tad smaller than a fist. If you press the button on the little dogs belly its cheeks light up and the words, "I wuve you, woof-woof!" can be heard. She has named her dog, Puppy and carries it with her everywhere she goes. Kate and Puppy have many things in common. For example, they are both very sensitive. She only has to pat Puppy to make him tell her that he wuves her. Each time Puppy speaks Kate says, "I wub you too!" with added emphasis to the last syllables. Now we know where Kate is hiding because she is constantly telling her little Puppy that she wubes him!
This little puppy has been quite a blessing to us the week! Now Kate is repeatedly saying, “I wub you, Mommy” and expects to hear a, “I love you too, Kate” each time. It’s so fun to hear her say, “I wub you, Barker” and, “I wub you, Gacee” accompanied by little smiles and reciprocated words.
I guess that one week alone with three sick kids isn’t that bad after all.

This picture was taken by Grace. She's a great photographer. Kate's mimicking her Dad's funny faces! It also appears that she has been into Mommies lipstick again.
Amanda took this picture at Disneyland this past April of 2007. They were playing hide and seek and Kate just got busted. She has an adorable little half screaming laugh when she gets surprised. It's one of my favorite sounds!
