How To Post A Comment, by Melissa

The kids are so excited to see what people have to say about their website! So, if you have the time (and there's always time to share some love) there is a little link that says "comments" under each article. If someone else has posted a comment the comment link will have a number associated with it. Click on the "comments" link and type in a little message. Make sure that you fill out who the comment is from by clicking on the round button that says "other" and type in your name.

If you want to see what your comment looks like on Blog-a-Butler, click on the article title. For example, the title of this article is "How To Post A Comment, by Melissa." You'll also be able to see all of the other comments that our adoring fans have posted.

It's that simple... even Diane can do it! Besides, it's lonely out here in the desert! GET POSTING PLEASE!

I WANT A CLUBHOUSE NOW!, by Parker

Today I learned about the pioneers. I figured how they made their houses back then. I'll tell you how.

Ingredients:

  • 12 bunches of hay, lots is best so it can be tall.
  • lots of weeds I mean lots of weeds so the hay will be held in place.
  • A shovel one that can dig good.
  • 2 stones for the roof.
  • And a ladder.
Directions:
  1. Dig a tunnel down that is a square. This will be your door.
  2. When the tunnel is long enough for your ladder, dig a room next to it. It needs to be big enough to fit 2 or 3 people.
  3. Put your ladder down your door hole.
  4. Use the hay to stack up above the ground around your door, but leave a spot for you to get in and out just like another door.
  5. Then use the weeds to hold the hay in place by tying them together and use them as ropes.
  6. Get the two stones and put them above the hay for your roof.
So I decided to build one in my backyard, but I've got a problem. I need a permit to build it. I just think that you don't need a permit! I OBJECT AND I WANT TO TALK TO THE MAYOR ABOUT THE PERMIT! And the permit costs $60.0 and I don't even have $60! It's just so DIFOBLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!! (That's why my picture is so mad!)

From The First Grade, by Grace

Today at school guess what happened? At recess it was fun. I played with my friends. Their names are Sadie and Kaloni. That's who I played with!

My teacher, Ms. Borum, tells funny jokes to us! My kindergarten teacher was fun too because she told jokes too. But today, Ms. Borum did a trick. She let two boys go to the bathroom. Their names are Braden and Broody. Ms. Borum pretended to be a spy when the whole class came through the door. She then had us hide under the tables. Braden and Broody could not find us. We were hiding under the tables. It was fun for me!

Tomorrow there is a Halloween party. It's gonna be fun! We get to dress up! We are going on a parade with the Kinders. (When I am at recess, I think that the Kinders are teeny.) We get to wear Halloween costumes.

We also get to go on a field trip and have pizza when we get back to school. We earned a pizza party! Yummy pizza from Ms. Borum.

My class has a lot of animals. We have a Tarantula, Iguana, a snake, two turtles and a tadpole that is growing into a frog. We also have fish. We have a tomato frog. That is all the animals we have. Oh, and our Iguana's name is Speedy because it is fast. It can also climb up trees.

I hope you have a very, very, very, very, very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
